As an organization, Telehealth has been our focus since 1996 and we have a proven set of products, both hardware and software, to show for it. Overall we have been in business since 1984 as a developer of custom software solutions and as a systems integrator. In 1994 we began work on a software program to establish a nationwide network that would allow rural clinics to communicate with specialists. It was this vision that was the driving force behind the development of Second OpinionTM line of products.
Our company's primary business is software development with an emphasis in the area of image management and communication, and our secondary focus is bringing to market cost-effective telemedicine solutions that work.
As a pioneer of Store and Forward and collaboration applications; we have three generations of Store and Forward products, Second OpinionTM Standard (now retired), Second OpinionTM Professional (client based) and Second OpinionTM Enterprise. Our Telehealth Dashboard product gives us patient monitoring capabilities that are useful in Home Health / remote monitoring applications, as well as Stethoscope Conferencing and remote image capture. Our Stroke Protocol and Stroke Portal streamline the process of taking care of a stroke patient when the Neurologist is not on-site. Our Mobile App Development platform allows us to create Apps that can be customized for customer specific projects.
Second OpinionTM Software has become the Telehealth software standard. Due to the flexibility built into the software and ease of use it is capable of being used in many different medical specialties. There are currently over 4,000 sites using our Telehealth software and that number is growing day by day. As a company we have been part of seven statewide Telehealth networks in the United States and three provincial-wide networks in Canada. We have learned by experience what works and what doesn't.
